ANGA CABLE 2009 – COLOGNE. ARRIS will be displaying its triple play broadband solutions at ANGA. Using its portfolio of Euro-DOCSIS voice and data services, on demand video, addressable advertising and access and transport equipment, the US vendor will be offering demos of carrier grade voice services combined with data services at speeds of 100 Mbps, both up and downstream.
ARRIS C4 DOCSIS 3.0 CMTS is paired Touchstone wideband modems and the ServAssure network management software.
The vendor will also be showing how to offload Mobile Virtual Network traffic onto the broadband network to reduce cost.
ARRIS will in addition be showing its ConvergeMedia On Demand and Addressable Advertising platform, combined with its D5 Universal Edge QAM, distributing on Demand content in a regular HFC cable network.
To extend ARRIS’s fibre distribution offering, the company will show its CORWave multi-wavelength optical platform. This will extend the utility of existing fibre services, in combination with its management software and fibre distribution technology.
It will include the FTTMax RFoG Optical Network Unit for triple play services and FTTMax EPON Optical Line Terminal and Optical Network Unit for PON-based Ethernet services.
IPTV will be offered over a DOCSIS 3.0 end-to end set-up, providing unicast services to PCs and IP STBs.
This will illustrate the benefits of using native Variable Bit Rate in bonded channel HFC access.
