Eutelsat has posted revenues of €236.5 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2009, or 5.6% more than in the corresponding period last year.
Its revenues for the nine months ended March 31 amounted to €700 million, up 7.1% year-on-year.
Video applications account for almost three quarters (74%) of the company’s revenues and grew by 4.5% in the last quarter, driven by strong growth in the 9, 16 and 36 degrees East neighbourhoods.
Eutelsat’s total revenue projection for 2008-9 has now been revised upwards to over €925 million.
Separately, Eutelsat has announced that it has selected Astrium to deliver its new Atlantic Bird satellite for 7 degrees West.
