Sony Pictures Television (SPT) has signed an agreement with MultiChoice that effectively gives its entertainment channel Sony Entertainment Television (SET) coverage across the whole of Africa.
As of today (May 6), SET will reach the entire sub-Saharan African region when it becomes available on both DStv’s Premium and Compact bouquet, bringing the total number of subscribers on the continent to 2 million.
SET has been available in South Africa since November 2007. SPT’s ANIMAX is also offered in the country, while AXN is available in Portuguese-speaking Africa.
