The Dutch telco KPN is inching towards one million TV subscribers, adding a further 60,000 households in the first quarter of the year.
As of March 31, 2008 KPN reported 835,000 TV homes, the vast majority being to the digital terrestrial platform Digitenne, as opposed to its dedicated IPTV platform.
Although no breakdown between KPN’s IPTV and DTT subscribers was immediately apparent, analyst Veldkamp recently estimated there to be 96,000 IPTV homes across the Netherlands as a whole.
KPN reported a blended ARPU from its TV subscribers of €7 per month. The company described its ARPU performance in mobile, broadband and TV as “satisfactory”.
