Asta-Net is set to become the next cable operator in Poland to introduce DOCSIS 3.0.
Working in co-operation with Vectra, the Wielkopolska-based company expects to be offering data transmission services at speeds of up to 200 Mbps.
DOCSIS 3.0 is currently being trialled by a number of Polish cable operators including UPC, Vectra and Multimedia Polska, the country’s three largest.

The report states that this translates to 20% of global TV sets by 2016, up from only 6% at end-2010.
