Stoneroos Interactive Television will launch a pilot of its personal EPG on the Lijbrand Telecom FTTH network in the Dutch town of Hillegom next month. It is the first time the guide will run on a large number of set-tops rather than on the Internet alone.
Using the iFanzy guide, viewers get access to a regular EPG and can also see personal recommendations. It also lets viewers discover programmes which can be of interest to them and have their own ‘portable’ EPG that they can take to the web.
The large-scale field test is meant to further improve functionality of the iFanzy personal EPG. Stoneroos has developed the guide to run on a number of different platforms and set-tops.
