The incumbent Latvian telco has renamed its IPTV operation Lattelecom Interactive TV.
According to the TeliaSonera-backed company, the move reflects the growing popularity of interactive services amongst its subscribers.
Lattelecom Interactive TV has offered a catch-up service since last autumn, giving viewers the chance to watch the last five days of programming on the five main TV channels in Latvia – LTV1, LTV7, LNT, TV3 and TV5.
They also have the chance to record these five channels, along with Discovery, Discovery Science, TVXX1, Eurosport and Eurosport 2.
Besides operating Lattelecom Interactive TV, the telco will be launching Latvia’s first DTT platform later this year.
