Prague is well on the way to becoming the first major all-digital city in Central and Eastern Europe.
Quoting a survey from a representative National Coordination Group for digital broadcasting, HN says that 73% of the Czech capital’s population has already switched to digital TV.
A further 13% plans to do so on April 30, when analogue transmission will be turned off in the city, with the remainder either not yet decided (11%) or not planning to switch (3%).
The survey adds that 47% of Prague’s population receives DTT, 22% uses cable TV, 11% satellite and 3% IPTV.
