Viasat has added HD content to TV1000Play, the premium area of its Viasat OnDemand service, becoming the first operator in the Scandinavian region to do so.
Viasat CEO Hans Skarplöth said he was excited to be able to take another step forward in offering customers TV on their terms.
Viasat OnDemand offers 110 films on TV1000Play and 15 films on TV1000PlayHD at no extra cost for Viasat TV1000 and TV1000HD subscribers. It also includes content from the Viasat Explorer, Viasat Nature and Viasat History channels. A further 600 titles can be purchased separately.
The service is available to Viasat’s satellite subscribers as well as those viewers have access to its IPTV service.
