Eutelsat has decided to switch off the satellite transmissions of the Bosnian public broadcaster of B-H TV.
According to a report by the public broadcaster BH TV, the satellite operator was due to end distribution of B-H TV One and its radio counterpart on midnight on March 13 due to non-payment of fees totalling €924,000.
In practice, this meant that as of last Saturday (March 14) Bosnia & Herzegovina became the first country in Europe not to distribute its public broadcaster via satellite.
Its Council of Ministers will meet on March 19 to discuss ways of setting the broadcaster’s debt.
