The Dutch cable system Rekam has seen its digital subscriber base grow to 27,491 homes following a period of constant decline. The total number of homes served by the operator is now 42,478.
Rekam is the only network in the country with two different companies offering digital TV. CAIW also offers digital bouquets on the network and now serves 35.3% of all homes, or 14,987 homes.
The reason for the growth is an increase in the number of homes passed, which now stands at 53,822. The actual penetration rate has dropped to 78.9% in line with other operators in the country.
