The online streaming web service Zattoo is to leave Belgium. With only around 100,000 regular users, it has been unable to develop a sustainable business model to make enough of an impact on the market.
In Belgium, Zattoo has offered not only international broadcasters, including Al Jazeera, Bloomberg France and Luxe.TV, but also channels from SBS Belgium and VT4.
The online web service might return to the country if it finds a suitable marketing partner.
“If that works, there is chance that we will come back,” according to a spokesperson in local press reports.
