In orbit failure for Eutelsat W2 replacement

Eutelsat Communications’ new W2N satellite has been rejected by the satellite operator after an in-orbit failure. The EADS Astrium/ISRO Antrix-built satellite was being moved from in-orbit testing to its operating position at 16 degrees East, where the craft was scheduled to replace Eutelsat W2.

Triple play continues Unitymedia growth

Unitymedia has increased the number of subscriptions to its triple play offer of internet, telephony and digital TV by 66% year-on-year. In an end of year subscriber update, the Cologne-based cablenet said it had added another 204,000 revenue generating units (RGUs) in the fourth quarter, bringing the total number to 1.6 million.
