News Corp’s LNT was the most popular broadcaster in Latvia in 2008, its audience share of 19.3% being 0.3 percentage points up on the previous year.
However, according to data produced by TNS Latvia, second placed TV3, which is backed by MTG, saw its audience share fall from 18.0% to 15.4% during the same period.
The public broadcaster’s flagship channel LTV1 lost viewers in 2008 (10.7% v 11.4%), while its second one LTV7 performed much better (4.6% v 3.9%).
