Viasat Broadcasting is launching an eighth stream of premium channel TV1000. The new TV1000 Drama launches on February 16 and will be made available to Viasat’s premium satellite, IPTV and cable TV subscribers.
At the same time TV1000 is introducing a new set of logos for its channels in the Nordic region (pictured).
“We are happy to provide our movie fans with an additional very strong channel. The launch of TV1000 Drama enhances Viasat’s leading position in the provision of premium movie content to TV viewers in the region,” said Niclas Ekdahl, vice president pay-TV Channels & VOD Content at Viasat Broadcasting.
TV1000 Drama will join the existing channels TV1000, TV1000+1, TV1000 Action, TV1000 Nordic, TV1000 Classic, TV1000 Family and TV1000 HD. Its library includes costume dramas (Marie Antoinette), crime dramas (The Black Dahlia); love stories (PS I Love You) and biopics (The Aviator). It will broadcast between 18.00 and 06.00 every a day.
The channel will also be available online to Viasat satellite subscribers through TV1000 Play.
