Cablecom is launching two new internet packages for customers on the Swiss network. The Liberty Global-owned operator claims to be the first Swiss telecommunications provider to offer higher bandwidths while retaining existing price levels.
Hispeed 2000 (2 Mbps) is priced at SFr34 and is designed for light users, while Hispeed 10000 (10 Mbps) is priced at a monthly SFr49, and is aimed at heavier users. Both speeds enable access to the Hispeed internet portal offering 20 live TV channels. Previous speeds of 1 Mbps and 5 Mbps were only introduced last March, though this time Cablecom has allowed itself a small price increase.
Cablecom also plans to introduce top speeds of 100 Mbps later this year.
