Virgin Media has returned to Hollywood star Samuel L Jackson to promote its 50 Mbps broadband service. Jackson appears in a 20 second commercial that will air from tomorrow (Saturday January 3) with its first high profile appearance being made during ITV1’s coverage of the FA Cup Third Round match between Liverpool and Preston.
Ashley Stockwell, MD of Brand and Marketing at Virgin Media said “50Mb is a massive leap forward for the broadband market and promises to transform the way people interact and entertain themselves online. Samuel L Jackson is an unmistakeably powerful voice to deliver our message and bring the impact of ultrafast broadband right into people’s living room.”
Jackson stands in front of walls of light and colours declaring: “the internet revolution really happened”. The commercial has been created by Rapier, which worked with Jackson on the previous TV Liberation and Mother of All Broadband campaigns.
