The Dutch communications provider KPN has sold its share in the thematic channel NostalgieNet, which specialises in nostalgic programming, to Tijdsbeeld Media Holding. The two parties launched the channel together in 2006.
NostalgieNet programming looks back to the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s and ’80s, broadcasting mainly Dutch language programming. Viewers can also upload their own home movies via a dedicated website and these are also used in NostalgieNet programming.
Although KPN Digitenne and KPN Interactieve TV were initially the only distributing platforms, now contracts have now been signed with various cable conpanies. Just last month UPC added to the channel to its line-up.
