UPC Austria is beefing up its HD offer with three more channels. At the same time, the operator is giving away a €60 voucher for people who choose the HD Mediabox with PVR.
The Austrian cabler is adding Eurosport HD, Voom HD and National Geographic HD to its line-up of high def channels. Until now, the offer consisted of ORF 1 HD in the basic tier and the German version of Discovery HD.
People who sign up for the HD Mediabox with PVR will be issued withthe €60 voucher as part of a subsidised project from the regulator Rundfunk und Telekom Regulierungs-GmbH (RTR) to promote digital television in the country. The offer is good until May 31, 2009 and a maximum of 20,000 people can profit.
Earlier, similar incentives were granted to people buying digital terrestrial receivers with MHP interactivity.
