The pre-paid DTH service Skylink continues to perform extraordinarily well in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
According to Parabola, it now has a combined total of 500,000 active card customers in the two countries, making it the leading satellite platform in the Czech Republic and second largest in Slovakia.
The Skylink brand, though well established in Slovakia, has only been used in the Czech Republic since October, the service being operated jointly by TradeTec, formerly known as Trade and Technology (Czech Republic) and Towercom (Slovakia).
Skylink’s success can be put down to an improved programme offer and the fact that it is at present the only DTH platform in the two countries to offer HD channels.
