UPC’s digital cable operation in the Czech Republic had 250,000 subscribers at the end of October.
According to Vaclav Barton, the operator’s director general, the service is now on track to exceed UPC’s analogue subscriber total by Christmas.
The Czech Republic is UPC’s leading CEE digital cable market, with the company having earlier this month reported 231.500 subscribers at the end of Q3.
Although its recently launched digital cable operations in Poland and Hungary are performing very well, they are unlikely to catch up with the Czech one in terms of subscriber numbers for some time.
