The Russian pay-TV company Akado says it is on course to achieve its 50,000-subscriber target for HD channels by the end of 2009.
Akado opened a pre-booking service for the channels before their launch on September 30 and received 12,000 applications.
Its offer, which Akado claims to be the most comprehensive in Russia, initially consisted of five channels but has since been enhanced by HD Life.
