Digital rollout concludes in Rhineland-Palatinate

Digital rollout is entering its final phase in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, with new transmitters in Trier, Saarburg, Eifel and Haardt coming on air on November 12. On that day, all analogue terrestrial broadcasts will be terminated.

About 3.7 million people are affected. The digital terrestrial offer consists only of 12 public channels from ARD, SWF and ZDF. The line-up consists of Das Erste (ARD), ZDF, SWR, WDR, HR-TV, Bayerisches Fernsehen, Phoenix, Arte, 3 Sat, Eins Plus, ZDF Info and Kika sharing a channel with ZDF Doku.
