A row has broken out over the banning of four Russian TV channels in Ukraine.
The channels in question – Channel One, RTR-Planeta, Ren TV and TVC International – have been deemed by the Ukrainian National Council for TV and Radio Broadcasting to have violated Ukrainian broadcast laws.
However, Russia believes the ban is politically motivated.
Ukrainian cable operators, the largest of which is Volia, have meanwhile been forced to take off even more Russian channels – NTV Mir, RTR Planeta and TVCI.
