Spanish infrastructure group Abertis has taken its share in the Spanish satellite operator Hispasat to 33.4%. The company has paid €35 million for a 5% stake previously held by EADS/CASA.
Abertis is already Hispasat’s largest shareholder after last July’s purchase of a 28.4% stake. It also holds 32% in Eutelsat Communications, itself a Hispasat shareholder.
The new purchase requires the approval of the Spanish authorities.
