ESPN has announced the launch of its online videoplayer ESPN360.com in the UK market. It follows the launch of the site in continental Europe in January this year as ESPN continues to build its profile in the region.
Free news, highlights and interviews will be available from the National Hockey League (NHL), Major League Baseball (MLB), National Football League (NFL), golf, tennis and X Games. There will also be premium coverage from 1,000 NHL games, the play-offs and the Stanley Cup final.
Also available are over 200 live and on-demand NCAA Football games and over 200 NCAA Basketball games from the beginning of the season in November.
The content will be made available through a number of packages and also includes ESPN’s studio based programming that includes Pardon the Interruption, Around the Horn and Mike in the Morning.
Early next year ESPN’s European premium sports channel NASN will be rebranded as ESPN America.
