The History Channel UK is planning to launch HD versions of Biography Channel Bio and The Crime & Investigation Network. The channels have received the go ahead from Ofcom and could be on air before the end of the year providing they are able to secure capacity within the Sky EPG.
The HD version of The History Channel has been on-air since the autumn of 2006 and has subsequently rolled out across a number of European territories including the Netherlands, Belgium, Poland and Hungary. History is currently in the process of rolling out further services in the Baltics.
