Cyprus aims to complete the digital switchover process by 2011, according to the country’s minister of communication and works Nikos Nikolaides and minister of interior Neoclis Sylikiotis.
Nikolaides said there would be a period of simulcasts before the final switchover took place, one year ahead of the EU digital deadline of 2012.
Cyprus is already served by the DTH platform Multichoice Hellas and the IPTV platforms MiVision and PrimeTel.
