The Biography Channel (BIO) has secured a distribution deal in Israel on the cable operator HOT. The deal announced by Rhonda Attar, general manager, Tel-Ad Broadcasting Channels. The channel first launched in Israel in November 2005 on the YES satellite platform.
“It’s truly gratifying that the HOT executives have chosen BIO as the latest added attraction to their platform. The channel has already received a warm and wonderful welcome by viewers throughout the country and we’re particularly grateful to AETN’s A-1 International team for making it happen,” said Rhonda Attar.
BIO in Israel is operated and managed by Tel-Ad Broadcasting, which also manages The History Channel. BIO is distributed worldwide by AETN International, a division of A&E Television Networks.
