France 24 has announced the appointment of Vincent Giret as its new editorial director, replacing Grégoire Deniau.
Prior to his new role, Giret has been multimedia managing editor of Lagardère Active (France and International) and deputy managing director of Presse Magazine France since April 2007. He has previously held senior posts on leading French newspaper titles including Le Parisien/Aujourd’hui en France and l’Expansion.
Educated at the l’Expansion and the Centre de Formation des Journalistes he began his career as a correspondent in Cairo for the Matin de Paris, before joining the foreign desk in 1988.
