The Czech public broadcaster CT will begin satellite broadcasting in HD next year.
Quoted in the local press, its director general Jiri Janecek said that the station would initially transmit programming in the format on an experimental basis rather than round-the-clock.
He also ruled out the possibility of broadcasting in HD over DTT in the near future. TV Nova, the country’s leading broadcaster, began satellite broadcasting in HD yesterday (October 1).
