Dutch cable operator Ziggo has launched the new Endemol/MTV Networks joint venture channel Comedy Central Family. Distribution contracts with other operators are expected in a few months time.
The new channel will broadcast both Dutch comedy productions from the vaults of Endemol, as well as US series. Dutch series will include Ushi & Van Dijk, Booby Trap, De Vlaamsche Pot, Vrienden voor het Leven and Toen Was Geluk Heel Gewoon with US fare including Saturday Night Live, Frasier and That 70’s Show. see also an earlier report in Broadband TV News.
