Virgin Media has unveiled its first mobile broadband offer. Subscribers can purchase an 18-month contract that secures them a USB modem and a monthly 3GB usage allowance for a £15 fee. The pricing compares favourably with the other providers in the market.
“The launch of our Mobile Broadband product means UK consumers can now get all of their broadband needs from the UK’s leading broadband expert”, said Neil Berkett, Virgin Media CEO. “We’re perfectly placed to offer advice on the best broadband packages available, across a range of gadgets and speeds.”
Potential subscribers can subscribe on line or through the Zavvi store network, formerly known as the Virgin Megastores.
USB sticks are becoming an increasingly popular method of accessing broadband on the move, and a means for telcos to make use of their expensively acquired 3G capacity.
Virgin is an MVNO as a result of an ongoing partnership with T-Mobile, recently extended by a further six years.
