HCA/HCTA Tihany. The Hungarian HD DTH platform Hello HD plans to expand its operations to other CEE countries, including Slovenia and Croatia, within the next year.
It is also set to become the primary satellite distributor for Bebe TV HD.
Both pieces of news were given exclusively to Broadband TV News by Károly Vaczkó, the technical director at Hello HD, who stressed that the platform sees itself as complementary too, rather than a competitor of, the two existing DTH operations in Hungary.
Hello HD was launched commercially in May this year. It is owned by the Hungarian company HD Platform Ltd, which is itself backed by the UK’s Watchcable, and almost all its customers also subscribe to other pay services.
