Russia’s IT and communications market is likely to be worth €50 billion this year, according to data edited by Groteck Co in a detailed report produced for the European Audiovisual Observatory.
The report also says that the number of internet users in the country amounted to 35 million as of December 2007, or 40% more than a year earlier, while those with broadband internet access rose by around 50% year-on-year to 3.997 million.
Furthermore, it estimates that the number of pay-TV subscribers in the country is 6 million.
A full analysis of the report will appear in the next issue of New Television Insider. For further details, please go to: http://www.newtelevisioninsider.com
