The Greek DTH platform is to add the newly launched MTV Greece on September 27. The channel will be available to subscribers in Greece and Cyprus.
MTV Greece was initially launched in Athens on September 1, following an agreement between local media mogul Victor Restis and MTV Networks Europe for the operation of the channel.
Interest in the channel was intense with ANT1 Group and MAD Group (Mad TV, Mad Greekz, Mad Bulgaria, Mad Radio), also interested in its operation.
MTV Greece is the 36th MTV channel in Europe and broadcasts a mix of local and international hits, as well as MTV trademark shows with Greek subtitles.
