The Dutch cable operator Ziggo plans to build what it calls “the biggest consumer feedback panel ever” with 20,000 members. During the past few months, the cabler tested the concept with 1,000 people who joined the panel through its website.
“At the moment we receive information through our market research, ” said Marcel Nijhoff, director sales & marketing at Ziggo. “With the new panel, we hope to create a more active exchange of ideas and information, so in a way our consumers can help to create our products and services. In addition, the panel will be an ideal testing environment for new products and services.”
Following the test, 9,000 people have already applied to become member of the new panel. Ziggo is Holland’s largest cable operator with 3.3 million homes connected, 1.4 million broadband customers, over 1 million digital homes and 750,000 telephony subscribers.
