Miniweb is taking its broadcast and broadband interactive services platform into Europe. The system, running on Sky under the TV Keys brand Miniweb allows broadcasters, network operators, content owners and advertisers to easily and cost effectively deliver new services that monetise viewer see, search and spend actions.
Miniweb will demonstrate how internet content can be repurposed for the TV environment. The company has produced both tools and templates make it easy to design, build and publish interactive TV sites.
“Broadcasters can now deliver targeted and relevant interactivity to make their channels more engaging by enhancing their programming with broadband delivered, internet derived content,” said Ian Valentine, chief architect and founder, Miniweb.
TV Keys work by entering an alphanumeric code associated with a product or channel. In most cases the broadcast content continues as the web-like pages are displayed.
