The BBC has indefinitely postponed the transfer of staff from its facility at Kingswood Warren in Surrey. The announcement was made by Erik Huggers, director, BBC Future Media and Technology at a celebration to mark 60 years of BBC Research at Kingswood Warren.
A strike organised by BECTU, scheduled to take place on Friday, was suspended by the union.
The BBC is planning to sell Kingswood Warren, initially moving staff to White City, with the possibility of a further move to new premises in Salford, Greater Manchester.
