The Business of Multiscreen Television
Canal+ is to start broadcasting all its programmes in the 16:9 format from September 1.
Up until now, the format has only been used on its Canal+ Film and Canal+ Sport channels.
The latter have also offered HD channels since December 2006.

The report states that this translates to 20% of global TV sets by 2016, up from only 6% at end-2010.
