The Belgian public broadcaster VRT has announced it will continue to broadcast its main channel Eén (One) in HD quality. The original plan was to end broadcasts after the Beijing Olympics, but following positive feedback VRT Eén will remain on the air.
The public HD channel will air all programmes in HD, either native HD or upscaled. The channel is available on the Telenet Digital TV, INDI, Belgacom TV and Coditel platforms. Negotiations with DTH provider are under way.
