The Dutch FTTH network Ons Net in the city of Eindhoven is to offer its digital customers free HD with its basic digital package. The operator, which competes with UPC in the city, offers a basic digital bouquet with 51 channels for €7.50.
A further 20 channels can be bought for €3.95. Viewers need to buy a dedicated STB for €149.95, and a basic connection charge for the broadband connection is compulsory.
Ons Net offers “as many HD channels as possible” with both digital bouquets. It now includes Discovery HD and Brava HD and will add HD versions of the Dutch and Belgian public channels as soon as they become available.
