Moscow broadband consolidates

Consolidation in the Moscow broadband market is gathering pace.
Local reports indicate that NetbyNet, the city’s fourth largest ISP, has acquired Internet Interwave for in the region of $10 million (€6.7m).
Internet Interwave, which was previously a take-over target for Corbina Telecom, which operates an IPTV service, has around 10,000 subscribers.
NetbyNet, which lists Gazprombank as a 35% shareholder, has in the region of 180,000 subscribers and had a turnover of around $40 million last year.
