Sogecable secures World Cup rights

Spanish broadcaster Sogecable has secured complete rights to the 2010 football World Cup.

The broadcaster is planning to screen the coverage of the event, taking place in South Africa, on its pay-TV net Digital+.

The acquisition is welcome news for Digital+, which recently lost coverage of the UEFA Champions League to the media rights holder Mediapro.
