Sirius strikes Lithuanian deal

The Lithuanian satellite services provider SatGate has contracted four transponders from SES Astra’s affiliate Sirius at the new 31.5 degrees East orbital slot.

The capacity will be used by SatGate to provide broadband and internet connectivity to households and end customers in CEE, including Russia, and the Middle East.

It will also be employed by ISPs who do not have the necessary infrastructure.

SatGate, which already has two transponders on Sirius 4, already has over 50,000 customers.
