Elion, a subsidiary of the incumbent Estonian telco Eesti Telekom, ended Q2 with 67,700 IPTV and cable TV subscribers.
At the same time, its triple play subscriber total stood at 62,800. Both figures were significantly higher – up from 39,500 and 36,400 respectively – than in the corresponding period in 2007.
According to Eesti Telekom, the popularity of Elion’s triple play offer has been significantly boosted by the range of additional services provided, with the volume of video rental sales doubling in Q2.
Elion DigiTV’s kid’s package was boosted by the addition of three channels – Disney Channel, Toon Disney and Playhouse Disney – in April and ended Q2 as one of the most popular, with over 4,000 subscribers.
