The Dutch dance music radio station Slam!FM will launch its online on-demand video jukebox as a regular TV channel on two smaller cable networks, CAIWay and Lijbrandt Telecom, at the end of July. Viewers will be able to request their favourite clips, which will be shown on the channel according to their popularity.
The radio station has been operating an online version of the channel since the beginning of the year and now wants to develop the format into a “proper” TV channel. For the moment, it will be made available on digital tiers on all platforms, including cable and IPTV. Negotiations are under way with a number of parties.
