Canal+ says it has signed agreement with a number of French movie organisations enabling them to show French and European movies on their VOD service. Contracts with Blip, ARP, Bloc, APC and UPC gives the channel the right to offer all titles on VOD during the licence period of the channel.
Canal+ will pay an additional licence fee, dependent on the original price paid for the movie and on the number of times a title is requested. Viewers can request a title for up to three times. The new contract will run for three years.
