CETel and Arabsat launch DVB-S2 service

The German based telecom services provider CETel has announced it now offers DVB-S2 services on Arabsat-2B in C-Band. Due to the Arabsat-2B satellite coverage, this new service is designed to specifically serve CETel’s growing customers demand focused on the Gulf region, Middle East and African markets.

Khalid Balkheyour, Arabsat president & CEO, welcomed “the official launch of this technological leap on which Arabsat and CETel have been actively working as part of their strategy to rapidly maximize their use of space bandwidth for Value-Added Voice & Data Services throughout the Middle East and Africa.
