The new Polish sports channel Orange Sport is likely to make its debut on July 25, coinciding with the start of the country’s premier football league (Ekstraklasa) season.
Local reports indicate that the channel will probably offer coverage of a number sports other than football including speedway, which is extremely popular in Poland.
Orange Sport, which will be operated by the France Telecom-backed incumbent telco TPSA, will be initially available on the latter IPTV service and the DTH platform Cyfra+.
It will also be distributed by TPSA’s new DTH platform, due to launch this autumn.
